Advanced Operations

You are conducting Advanced Operations if:

• You fly in controlled airspace
• fly over bystanders
• fly within 30 m (100ft) of bystanders
• fly less than 5 km/3 nautical miles from a certified airport or military aerodrome
• fly less than 1.8 km or 3 nautical miles from a certified Heliport
• you must have a drone with the appropriate Safety declaration for the intended operation
• Pass the Advanced Pilot Exam and pass a flight review with a flight reviewer
• seek permission from Nav Canada to fly in controlled airspace using the NavDrone App
